Product Description Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC) is a synthetic mineral used in toothpaste as a whitening agent and filler. It is also widely used in oral care products and consumer applications such as cosmetics, plastics, and food supplements.

Functions in Toothpaste
  • Abrasive: PCC with ~0.7 micron particles removes plaque, stains, and deposits from enamel.
  • Thickening: PCC particles between 2–4 microns act as a mild thickening agent.
  • Cleaning & Polishing: Uniform particle size enhances cleaning and polishing action.
  • Binding & Dispersion: Improves binding and dispersion of toothpaste ingredients.
  • Viscosity Control: Helps adjust viscosity for easy squeezing and application.
  • Cost Effective: More economical than abrasives like silica and dicalcium phosphate.
